How to guard your heart in a divided world
Scripture says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” But what does that actually mean, and why does it matter so much?
In this episode, we look at why guarding your heart is essential to finishing well in this life and preparing for eternity. Drawing from Proverbs 4 and Ephesians 4, Alyn names the specific things Scripture says steal our peace—bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, slander, and unforgiveness—and how easily they take root, especially in tense and divided times.
Rather than shutting down or hardening our hearts, this teaching calls us to practice what actually protects them: kindness, tenderness, forgiveness, and the peace of God that guards both heart and mind.
If you feel like your peace has been leaking, this episode offers a clear, biblical framework for recognizing what’s draining it and how to guard your heart without losing it.
