Advent week 2: peace
In this Advent message, Alyn moves from the first candle of hope to the second candle of peace. Looking at Micah 5 and Isaiah 9, he explores how Israel expected a Messiah who would bring peace through power, yet Jesus came to bring a deeper peace by dealing with the real enemy, sin.
Alyn highlights two kinds of peace Jesus offers. First is peace with God — the salvation that settles our souls. Second is the often overlooked gift of peace for our minds and hearts in the middle of fear, anxiety, and everyday pressures. He shares his own story of learning to receive that peace and a powerful testimony from a friend who experienced supernatural peace at the end of his life.
If you’re longing for calm, clarity, or steady ground this season, this Advent episode invites you to meet Jesus as the Prince of Peace in both the big picture and the everyday moments of your life.
